I had stared at you, from afar for a long time. More time than I care to mention. Your shapely form was just driving me wild. And then one day, fate looked my way and sent you into my arms… and I finally felt complete.
That might seem like an over-reaction, but I truly have been desperate to get my hands on the Cush for such a long time. Earlier this year, I was finally able to bag a Flurry for an insanely discounted price, and it was like love at first sight. But my desire could not be extinguished, because I still needed the Cush. In fact, I will not rest until I have every single O2 dildo in my collection, because frankly, once you go dual density, everything else will just feel like crap.
The angels at Tantus heard my cries and bequeathed a Cush unto me (in exchange for an honest review) and finally, I was at ease. But did it live up to my long held expectations?
First Impressions
Like the previous O2 toys to arrive (the Gary and Uncut) the Cush arrives in a colourful box with clear panels, allowing you to see the Cush in all it’s marshmallow glory. I received the Cush in ‘Candy’ colour (which matches the Flurry I have) but is available in Ice (blue) or Twilight (a kinda dusky purple). The Cush stands at just over 7″ tall and a girth of 5.75″ around it’s widest point. As I do with all of my dildos, a large portion of the day was taken up with me just squishing it. It actually feels slightly squishier than the Flurry, and I assume this is down to the larger size of the Cush. Stood side by side though, you can definitely see the family resemblance.
It’s really odd because when the Cush first arrived, I thought I may have bitten off more than I could chew, because it looks much bigger than it actually is. The same thing happened when I received the Splash – it looked much bigger because of it’s shape. That said, I was still convinced this was going to be a challenge compared to other toys I have tried… but i’m prepared to give it ago.
In Use
I definitely knew I wasn’t going to take on the Cush until I had at least undertaken a good warm-up. Whilst it’s fairly squishy in the outside, and has a tapered tip – the toy doesn’t vary in size all that much down the shaft – so I wanted to make sure I was relaxed and stretched enough before I took it on.
So I laid out my warm up routine – Leo followed by the Flurry. The Uncut would then make an appearance along with Mick and then, and only then did I feel comfortable enough to try and take on the Cush. With a generous serving of lube, I got onto my side, knees up to my chest and took a deep breath. The tip of the Cush is quite bulbous but very, very soft. The solid core doesn’t start until about an inch from the tip. As I relaxed, the Cush started to slip inside.
I felt the first ridge pop past my sphincter, and as usual, it sent a small tingle of pleasure down my spine. Within a few moments, the second ridge was sending another tingle down my spine. At this point, I could feel the Cush brushing past my sensitive spots and I got goosebumps. With a further, gentle push, I soon found myself with the base pressing against my cheeks. We had taken him all in. At this point, I let out a deep, heavy sigh and I lay there for what seemed like hours, just revelling in the full sensation the Cush was giving me.
Thrusting with the Cush was an interesting experience. Grabbing the firm, flat base, I began to really put the dildo through it’s paces. The soft, squishy tip was making friends with my prostate and before long, I was approaching the apex of what turned out to be a pretty good orgasm. It wasn’t overly strong – whilst the Cush was providing some p-spot stimulation, the shaft isn’t curved enough, so it’s not as intense as it could be. But this isn’t a bad thing, believe me. Sometimes it is just enough to lay there, thrusting away as I masturbate normally. The fact it was even providing any prostate stimulation was just a nice, added bonus.
As with most of these O2 dildos, I wish that it could be upgraded to take advantage of a suction cup/bullet – however I notice that Tantus have just launched the Duchess, which is very firmly on my wish-list. As with the Flurry, this is perfect for those who like the idea of a ‘realistic’ feel, but don’t like the ‘realistic’ look of a dildo – whilst the shape here could be classed as somewhat realistic, thanks to the colour, it definitely looks more ‘fantasy’.
Clean-up and Maintenance
My biggest issue with the Cush is totally a cosmetic one. It attracts dust so annoyingly easy. It’s not helped by the fact I have a pug who is constantly shedding, so no soon as I had it washed, ready to be photographed – the bloody thing was covered in hair and dust again (thank you, Elphie!). Thankfully it is super easy to clean. You can rinse it in the sink with some water and toy cleaner. If you want a deeper clean (which is definitely recommended if you are using this anally) you can boil it, bleach it (10% solution) or chuck it in the dishwasher.
Summary
When it comes to Tantus and their marvellous O2 dildos, I really cannot fault them at all. Admittedly, Cush is a bit of a lube hog – thanks to it’s larger size, I need to use a bit more to enjoy a completely comfortable ride, but thanks to the slightly softer feel of the silicone, it lasts a bit longer and doesn’t feel as ‘draggy’ as other silicone I have tried.
So should you buy the Cush? Yes, yes you should. It looks great, it feels great and offers a decent challenge. As someone who has enjoyed things like the Uncut and the Gary, but wished for something a bit ‘thicker’ – this definitely ticks all the right boxes. Just definitely make sure you are totally warmed up before giving it a try.
