One of the things I see coming up in my search terms, or sent to me via email – is ‘How does the L’Amourose Rosa compare to the Nexus Revo Stealth’ and ‘Which is the best?’

So I decided to do a comparison video here to show you. If you can’t see the video or don’t want to watch it – then continue reading after the jump where I give you the low down.

Note: Since recording this video, some of the information provided is no longer accurate – specifically the operation of the vibrations/rotations working independently on the REVO Stealth. Please see my edit in the ‘Functions’ section. The rest of the video still stands.

The Basics

The Rosa is marketed as both a prostate toy for men, and a G-Spot toy for women – so it’s not your typical prostate toy shape. It features 2 motors, one at the tip of the shaft, which provides the stimulation to the prostate and one in the base that provides external stimulation to the perineum.

The Revo Stealth is your classic prostate massager shape. It features a curved shaft with a bulbous tip and has an extended perineal arm. There is a vibration motor in the perineal arm, and the shaft of the Revo ‘rotates’ instead of vibrating, giving a completely different sensation.

The Functions

The Rosa has 2 powerful vibrating motors which provides 7 different patterns/functions, each customizable with 12 different speeds. You can choose to have either both motors going – or just the top or bottom. You can even have it alternating between the two. It’s completely flexible, allowing you to choose the best pattern and speed for what you prefer.

The Revo Stealth has 6 vibration modes in the base and 2 rotation speeds in the shaft. You cannot operate either the vibrations or the rotations individually – it’s either both or nothing at all. Edit: Since writing and recording this video guide, it has come to my attention that the REVO can indeed, be operated with either just vibrations or just rotations. If you check out the original review, I have provided more information. The vibrations range from just basic constant low/high/medium to pulses and escalations.

How to use

The controls of the Rosa are right at the base, meaning it can be a little complicated to change speed and patterns once inserted – however the more I have used the toy, the more intuitive it has become and it’s now much easier. There are 3 buttons: minus, pattern and plus.

The Revo is operated via Remote Control. You need to turn the Revo on via the grey button on the base and then you can use the remote control – which has buttons for the rotation and vibrations.

The Materials

Both toys are covered in smooth medical grade silicone so are completely body safe. They also both have bases made from ABS plastic.

Clean-Up and Maintenance

The Nexus Revo is splashproof, whilst the Rosa is fully waterproof. This means you can take the Rosa into the bath or shower for some aquatic fun. It also makes the Rosa much easier to clean, where as the Revo you need to be a bit more careful.

Charging

The Rosa has a charging dock and has a regular 3-pin wall plug. The Nexus Revo has a magnetic charger, which can be charged via USB – so you can plug it straight into your laptop, or if you have any of those USB Plugs (like the ones you get with your iPhones) – then you can charge it via the wall that way.

What’s In The Box?

Inside the box for the Rosa, you get the Toy, the charging base, wall plug, Warranty Card, Instruction Manual and a velvet storage bag.

Inside the box for the Revo, you get the Toy, the remote control, USB charging cable, Instruction manual and a storage bag. You also get a small sample of water-based lube.

So which is best?

Well, I’m afraid only you can decide which is the best! Both of these toys are exceptional, however comparing them is a little difficult as they both do different things, and therefore I see them as 2 completely different toys in their own different leagues.

The Rosa is incredibly powerful, has more options when it comes to vibrations and functions – and it’s unisex – meaning it’s a great couples toy (although I beg you and implore you to make sure that if you are going to share it, make sure you thoroughly clean it between uses!!!).

I do like the Revo though – the uniqueness of the rotation sets it apart from almost all other prostate toys – it really does feel like someone is using their finger to massage my prostate. However I don’t like the fact I can’t use the toy without vibrations. The rotation function is so amazing, that the vibrations as well makes it incredibly intense, and instead of just turning it down, I have to turn it off.

With all that in mind, I personally give the Rosa the edge… but the Nexus Revo is still a pretty damn good prostate toy, and to be honest, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with either. The Rosa is just my personal preference. As the REVO can now indeed be used with JUST vibrations or JUST rotations, I of course have to re-assess my decision, as I gave the ROSA the edge. After once again taking into account all factors, I would have to say, I still give the ROSA the top marks. The vibrations are much deeper and rumblier (the vibrations on the REVO, whilst feel good, only provide surface buzz externally) and I personally prefer internal vibration. Whilst the REVO’s rotating function is indeed quite innovative – I almost wish that there were a few more rotation settings – whether that was different speeds or some additional patterns. But for me, the ROSA is where I go to when I want a fairly short and explosive orgasm – the REVO is what I would turn to if I wanted a longer build up.
