Out of all of the Tantus O2 dual density dildos, there were 2 that I was lusting after the most – the Cush and the Flurry. There was something about their shape that was calling to me, and I knew I wanted to make them mine.

If you read my ‘Sex Toy Resolutions‘ post early on this year, I pledged that by the end of the year, I will have reviewed a Cush, a Flurry and a Vamp. Well… I am happy to report we will be able to cross TWO of those off the list. When I saw Tantus had added a Flurry to their grab bags – I immediately grabbed my debit card and threw it at the screen. TAKE MY MONEY, PLEASE!! A few days earlier, I had already placed another order with Tantus, where I obtained not one but TWO Vamps (A regular and a Vibrating one) – so watch out for those reviews later. In the meantime, the Cush still evades me. For now. But I am coming for you…. In the mean time, let’s check out it’s gorgeous, slender brother….

First Impressions

As this is a ‘Grab Bag‘ – this doesn’t really come with any major packaging, aside from a basic plastic bag that has a slightly shimmery quality. For those who don’t know, Grab Bags are essentially ‘one-of-a-kind’ pours – usually in some weird and wonderful colour combinations – and the best part is, they are usually half the price of the regular versions. It was at this point, I knew the time was right to get my hands on the Flurry.

Upon removing it from it’s little plastic bag, I couldn’t help but squeal. It’s just SO ADORABLE. It’s got a white out layer that’s soft and squishy like marshmallow, and then inside is a pink, firmer core. I think I spent the first hour just squeezing it in my hands because it was just so delectably squishable. That’s a word, right?

The Flurry features an insertable length of 7 inches, and has a circumference at it’s widest point of 4.7 inches. It’s fairly rigid, but still retains a modest amount of flexibility. It features a moderately realistic ‘glans’ with a tapered tip, followed immediately by a secondary glans ridge which gives it an almost ‘fantasy/sci-fi’ quality to it. So for those who crave the FEEL of a real penis, but don’t like the idea of using a realistic disembodied penis – then this might be for you.

In Use

Because of the Flurry’s slender frame and soft, squishy exterior – I’ve been wondering whether this would make a good new ‘warm’ up dildo, as I’ve currently been using the Vixen Leo for this purpose. However I have grown tired of that, so I desperately wanted something new – something I could take one with barely any warm up to get me going. So, I decided I would give it a go from a ‘cold’ start (so to speak).

After slathering (ooh, that’s a good word…) the Flurry with some lube, I got myself on my side, and began to insert. The smaller, tapered tip was incredibly easy to get in – and thanks to the squishiness of the outer layer, there is a certain amount of ‘give’ so it was incredibly comfortable. As the first ridge was about to go past my sphincter, I was waiting for that delightful little ‘popping’ sensation – and sure enough, there it was. It was only a very small ‘pop’, mind you – but it was there and it felt good. Almost immediately afterwards, there was a second ‘small’ pop as the secondary ridge slipped in.

Before I knew it (and with just a couple of deep breaths) the Flurry had plundered my depths with almost criminal ease. The wider part at the base of the toy provided that thick, full feeling that I like from my dildos. The Flurry had no problem finding my prostate either, and it brushed passed it with almost wild abandon. I lay there for just a few moments, enjoying the length as it filled me up. But soon, I was desperate to thrust.

The Flurry has a rounded base, making it perfect for anal play. It also helps when it comes to thrusting – as it gives it a good, solid grip. For those who have harness and are into strap-on/pegging play – the rounded base is compatible. With a firm grip on the base, and my knees still clutched to my chest, I started to thrust. The smooth shaft moved with ease, and every now and again, I brought it out just so I could feel that popping sensation from those deep ridges (which admittedly for those of you who may not be overly fond of deeper textures on your toys, might be a bit too much for you).

Soon, I was trying to change position, and with some careful balancing, I was able to sit up and ‘ride’ it. It was a little awkward, and at this point I really wish it had a suction cup (this thing would ROCK on the LoveArc). Eventually I just flopped on my back and with continued to thrust as I masturbated and I was soon knocking on orgasms door. As I lay there with the post-orgasm glow, and the sweat beading on my forehead, I was so happy to have finally added this little gem into my treasured collection.

Clean-up and Maintenance

Silicone can be cleaned and maintained very easily and just requires a small amount of effort on your part (especially if the toy is being used anally). Boiling it, bleaching it (in a 10% bleach solution) or whacking it in the Dishwasher is the best recourse of action here. However for those who are feeling slightly lazy, a good rinse with some warm water and a quality anti-bacterial toy cleaner will also be just as good. Tantus toys are designed to last a life time, and with simple care and maintenance, they will. And this is definitely one you will want to treasure for a long time.

Summary

I am so very glad to have finally taken the plunge and added a Flurry into my dildo rotation. Not only does it live up to the impeccable standards I have come to expect from Tantus, in terms of build quality – but the incredible sensation of the dual density silicone is something that really does need to be felt to be believed.

As a warm-up toy, it hits all the spots – I can usually get this going in one ‘take’ thanks to it’s soft, tapered tip and smooth shaft. It also just looks so freakin’ adorable. If ‘real’ dicks just aren’t your thing, then this might appeal to you. However, if you are looking for something that packs a bit more of a punch, you may want to give his chunkier brother, the Cush, a try. He’s next on my list. But for now, the Flurry is my favourite dual density toy – and if you only get ONE dildo from Tantus – make it this one.

Want to buy your own Flurry?

I bought my Flurry as a ‘Grab Bag’ – these are usually very limited stock – and sadly, these have now sold out.

But, you can still order a regular flurry in the 3 ‘traditional’ colours (Candy, Ice, Twilight).
