Like the ‘Splash‘ that I reviewed earlier this week, the ‘Goddess‘ is another Dildo that I rescued from an unknown fate from fellow blogger Apricot Creams.
I chose this as it’s Tantus who from what I have tried so far, can do no wrong. It also has a slot for a bullet vibrator. It seems perfect fodder for the Tango (which I am forever trying to find ways of incorporating into other toys).
That said, I also do love just riding a good dildo, and this one seemed like it was right up my alley, with it’s pearlescent glittery shine and smooth inviting ridges. I knew I would regret it if I let it slip from my grasp, so I had make sure to give it a home and give it a bloody good try when it arrived. And I’m glad I did, because it’s just the cutest little thing. And it feels pretty darn good too.
First Impressions
As before, this doesn’t have the packaging, but I assume that it is packaged in a similar way to the Throb, as mentioned in my previous ‘Splash’ review.
When you buy the ‘Goddess’ brand new, you get a single speed, waterproof vibe as well – that I don’t have, so for the purposes of testing, I used both my Tango and the Tantus bullet that was provided with the Prostate Play.
The ‘Goddess’ is a fairly average in size dildo – measuring 6.5 inches in insertable length, and has a circumference of just 4.5 inches around it’s widest point. It’s made from 100% platinum cured silicone and has a good amount of firmness, whilst still being every so slightly squishy – this is how I prefer my dildos.
The ‘Goddess’ is slightly more realistic in shape, and has a tapered ‘glans’ as well as several ridges on the underside of the shaft. The base is flared and is compatible with harnesses for pegging and strap-on play.
In Use
The silicone on the ‘Goddess’ is very smooth and shiny, with very little drag – so you don’t need to over-do it on the lube – it seems to go in relatively easy, without any major warm-up. The shaft stays pretty much the same width all the way down, so as you insert deeper, it fills you up quite nicely. The curve in the shaft isn’t as pronounced as it is in the Splash, but it still managed to find my prostate, and using the rounded base, I was able to get a really good grip and thrust away. The ridges on the underside of the shaft felt wonderful as I moved the toy in and out.
I then experimented using the toy ‘hands-free’ and used the Tantus Suction Cup which is compatible with all Tantus toys that have a removable vibrator. I plopped the Goddess onto the cup and then slapped it against the wall. Backing into it was a little tricky (see the review for the Suction Cup) but eventually we were in and on our way.
I of course had to try out the ‘Goddess’ with vibrations as well. I decided I would first try the Tantus bullet, as this is what it would have been designed with in mind. The Prostate Play bullet is slightly different than what would typically be included – but is the same size and fit snugly, but was still easy to remove. The Tantus bullet isn’t the strongest in the world, and the silicone in the Goddess is a little thicker than in the Prostate Play, so the vibrations were weakened significantly. But I wasn’t worried – I have my back-up weapon of choice primed and ready to go – The Tango.
I switched out the Tantus for the Tango. Even on the lowest setting, the vibes were transferred through the silicone beautifully, and on the top speed, it was definitely having the desired, pleasurable effect. The intense vibration from the Tango was now working it’s way deep inside me, and with each thrust, the ‘Goddess’ brushed my prostate, which alone would have felt nice anyway – but now with the added vibrations, I found myself curling my toes and clutching at the bed sheets. What was originally just a standard wank with a dildo, was fast becoming something dramatic and intense. At this point, I was enjoying myself so much, that I just threw all caution to the wind, grabbed hold of the base (being careful not to touch the button on the Tango) and just went for it like my life depended on it. Combined with a frantic thrusting, and the deep vibrations, it led me to a explosive orgasm that had me panting, and the sweat dripping from my forehead. I was very, very pleased.
Clean-up and Maintenance
You can boil it, bleach it, rinse it, dishwasher it – whatever you prefer to do with your silicone toys – you can do it (just remember to remove the bullet, if you are using one, first). Once it’s clean, just pat it dry with a towel and then you can store it away – it can safely be stored away with other toys, but I would recommend putting it in a bag, just to try and keep it as dust free as possible!
Summary
As I’ve said before in previous dildo reviews – I’m quite easy to please – as long as it fills me up nicely and works the prostate, I will generally have a great time. Well not only is this a great dildo on it’s own, but combine it with a bullet vibrator and you’re really on to something. The size is great for all levels of anal play and I was able to get going without having to warm up first. It also looks really pretty – when it catches the light, it almost looks like it’s twinkling – and it’s Silicone. What more can you ask for in a dildo?
